Real estate and construction law, business law, law of persons and family Law

Pascal Rytz

Founder of Espace Legal, he is driven by a deep conviction that law is a powerful tool for resolving even the most complex challenges.

After earning his Master’s degree in Law from the University of Geneva in 1994 and being admitted to the bar in 1998, Pascal built a distinguished career by founding and co-leading several law firms in Geneva and the canton of Vaud. Clients may recognize him from his work with Solutions Avocats, Arc Avocats, or more recently, AAA Avocats.

In 2020, as the world adapted to new ways of working, Pascal combined his passion for law and technology to create a more agile and client-focused legal service model. This vision led to the development of Espace Legal, where streamlined communication and digital tools offer clients greater flexibility and efficiency.

When medication does not mean free consent

8 October 2025
by Pascal Rytz
Bedridden in hospital after an operation and under the effect of morphine, I bought a pretty bracelet on an online auction site that I had absolutely no use for! I don't know what came over me and I don't think my state of health allowed me to conclude this sale. Is there any way...

Give up your pension in the name of equality!

29 September 2025
by Pascal Rytz
I'm 54 years old, I've been widowed for a long time and my two adult children are now independent: they don't cost me anything any more, except perhaps a fondue from time to time. I receive a pension that enables me to make ends meet. A friend told me that I was in danger of losing it under...

Ink or pixels? The power of signatures

22 September 2025
by Pascal Rytz
My father has his old habits. He only signs contracts with his fountain pen, convinced that a real signature should smell of blue ink. My sister, much to his chagrin, has just emailed him a rental contract that she signed... with a simple 'click' on her smartphone. As for my mother, who is interested in...

A good kiss... from the penitentiary!

15 September 2025
by Pascal Rytz
My partner was incarcerated some time ago in a prison in French-speaking Switzerland. We want to maintain our relationship despite our imprisonment and would like to know if it is possible to have slightly more private, even intimate, visits. Does this exist? B. Yes, sensual visits are possible in prison, but they are subject to...

The right way to "get" help

8 September 2025
by Pascal Rytz
I don't have the time to manage my administrative affairs, especially not the desire at the moment. I'd still like to enjoy the last few beautiful days instead of the paperwork. To this end, I've given a power of attorney to an acquaintance so that she can look after my bank accounts and other dealings with certain authorities. To...

Renovating your second home?

1 September 2025
by Pascal Rytz
My family has a chalet in the Alps, but it's old and apparently very expensive to renovate. I'd like to demolish it, rebuild it and use the opportunity to extend it a little, but a neighbour has told me that if I demolish it, I won't be able to do what I want to do because of the...

Public transport, but individual responsibility

27 August 2025
by Pascal Rytz
I have a 20-franc TPG card that can be debited from terminals at stops or on buses. The other day, I got on at a stop that didn't have a terminal, and there weren't any on the bus either. It took me 15 stops to get a ticket! The driver...

When sex takes an accidental turn

7 July 2025
by Pascal Rytz
In spite of myself, I overheard a discussion in a café that stunned me: a young woman was explaining to her friend that she had discovered that her partner had hidden his HIV-positive status from her for more than three years, while continuing to have unprotected sex, and had passed on this horrible infection to her! She said she had told him about it as an accident...

Freedom of association: should we be splitting hairs?

2 July 2025
by Pascal Rytz
"I'm a member of a student association that glorifies the mullet: only people with this legendary mane can join. We hold conferences and hair evenings. However, the university has just withdrawn our official label, deeming the exclusion of non-mulets to be discriminatory! We're walking on thin ice, aren't we? Your association can certainly continue...
