Espace Legal

Real estate and construction law, business law, law of persons and family Law

Pascal Rytz

Founder of Espace Legal, he is driven by a deep conviction that law is a powerful tool for resolving even the most complex challenges.

After earning his Master’s degree in Law from the University of Geneva in 1994 and being admitted to the bar in 1998, Pascal built a distinguished career by founding and co-leading several law firms in Geneva and the canton of Vaud. Clients may recognize him from his work with Solutions Avocats, Arc Avocats, or more recently, AAA Avocats.

In 2020, as the world adapted to new ways of working, Pascal combined his passion for law and technology to create a more agile and client-focused legal service model. This vision led to the development of Espace Legal, where streamlined communication and digital tools offer clients greater flexibility and efficiency.

The problem with certain evidence is well known!

8 December 2025
by Pascal Rytz
Interested in law and a fan of TV series about justice, I attended a civil hearing at court. I noticed that in Switzerland, too, each party must prove their case before the judge. However, I wondered whether facts that are well known to everyone are subject to the same requirement...

What happens at the barracks, stays at the barracks?

1st December 2025
by Pascal Rytz
My son had a road accident during his military service and was convicted. What consequences will this have for him in civilian life? Muriel, Geneva Your concern is legitimate, but rest assured: a military conviction does not necessarily mean an indelible stain on your son's record. Unlike...

Playing the woods, sensibly?

24 November 2025
by Pascal Rytz
I would like to invite my friends to a big tactical game in the forest. Just for fun, among ourselves, with a few obstacles, smoke (organic, of course) and victory cries. If it catches on – who knows? – I will try to launch my own outdoor adventure concept. But before organising everything...

Just a minute, I want to keep this faulty item!

17 November 2025
by Pascal Rytz
I bought a table whose design I really like, but unfortunately it was damaged when it was delivered to my home. After too many discussions, the seller is unable to repair or exchange it and is only offering me a full refund and the return of the goods. I want to keep this piece of furniture...

The legacy of the distant uncle is not always American

10 November 2025
by Pascal Rytz
A slightly bohemian friend, a fan of the Indian summer, divorced many years ago, had children from a first union with whom relations have become distant or even non-existent since they frequent the Champs-Elysées. He is now whistling up the hill with a new partner, without being married, and has no other children....

Health insurance for cross-border commuters

6 April 2026
by Pascal Rytz
As a French national, I work in Switzerland as a cross-border commuter and am affiliated to LaMal. I recently married a charming French woman who is not currently working, so I'm wondering how to insure her. Friends have told me that she has to be affiliated in Switzerland. Is this true? Marc, Annemasse Your wife can be insured in Switzerland, but...

When it comes to competition, it's better to go straight than too fast

6 April 2026
by Pascal Rytz
I've left my job as a manager in a service company. A number of clients terminated their contracts with this company to follow me into my own business. Some colleagues from my former team have also spontaneously joined me. My former employer is now accusing me of unfair competition and is seeking compensation. Can they? L,...

Smile, you're being filmed!

20 October 2025
by Pascal Rytz
As I often travel by motorbike, I'd like to get a dashcam so that I can film any accidents on the road and better protect myself in the event of a dispute. A policeman friend of mine told me that recordings are not admissible in court. I wonder if he's right? B, Nyon Not exactly, but it's not...

Out of order but not outlawed!

13 October 2025
by Pascal Rytz
I'm lucky enough to work for a young, dynamic company. At the end of the last afterwork organised by the company, an employee made inappropriate gestures or comments towards a trainee. The trainee has now accused him of sexually harassing her that evening. Our employer has been informed of the situation and is questioning the conduct...
