How do you manage an estate?

Organizing an estate or dealing with the death of a loved one raises delicate legal and human issues. Our firm will assist you with rigor and discretion in all matters relating to inheritance law, from planning to settling an estate.

We can advise you on drafting your last will and testament (will, inheritance pact), anticipating the death of your heirs, and ensuring that your estate is properly managed. This includes legal devolution, the division of property, management of reserved rights, or the liquidation of matrimonial communities. In the event of a dispute between heirs, we intervene to firmly defend your rights and promote balanced solutions.

Our approach combines a thorough understanding of the legal framework with careful attention to your personal situation. The aim is to avoid family tensions as much as possible. Whether you are a testator, heir, or legatee, we can help you make informed decisions in accordance with your wishes and the law.

Legal acts and enforcement

Drafting and role of the executor

The drafting of legal documents such as a will or an inheritance agreement is an essential step in organizing your estate in a clear and legally valid manner. These instruments allow you to express personal wishes, designate heirs, establish legacies, or allocate assets in a specific way.

These documents must be prepared with precision to avoid any ambiguity or future disputes. We will guide you through this process carefully and rigorously, taking into account your family, asset, and tax situation.

In the posthumous phase, the role of the executor is often decisive. Appointed by the deceased or, failing that, designated by the competent authority, the executor ensures that the last wishes are properly carried out and is responsible for identifying the estate's assets, ensuring that the testamentary provisions are complied with, settling debts, and dividing the estate. We can draft legal documents and act as executor.

Following a remarriage, my father has gradually ceased all contact with me and my children, leaving only my brother and my nephews. I'm afraid they're joining forces and doing everything they can to disinherit me. Is there anything that...

The transfer of a business by succession requires careful planning to ensure continuity of the business. It is advisable to consult experts in inheritance law and taxation to develop an appropriate strategy, taking into account the legal, financial and organisational aspects specific to the business.

The liquidator of an estate is responsible for administering the estate. His tasks include inventorying the assets, settling the debts and distributing the assets to the heirs in accordance with the legal provisions and the wishes of the deceased. He ensures that the estate is executed in a fair and transparent manner.
