Pascal Rytz

Founder of Espace Legal, he is driven by a deep conviction that law is a powerful tool for resolving even the most complex challenges.

After earning his Master’s degree in Law from the University of Geneva in 1994 and being admitted to the bar in 1998, Pascal built a distinguished career by founding and co-leading several law firms in Geneva and the canton of Vaud. Clients may recognize him from his work with Solutions Avocats, Arc Avocats, or more recently, AAA Avocats.

In 2020, as the world adapted to new ways of working, Pascal combined his passion for law and technology to create a more agile and client-focused legal service model. This vision led to the development of Espace Legal, where streamlined communication and digital tools offer clients greater flexibility and efficiency.

Can we exclude an obnoxious neighbour?

19 March 2025
by Pascal Rytz
Can we exclude an obnoxious neighbour? I can't take it any more! In what used to be a peaceful block of flats owned by people of good company, living with a new young next-door neighbour has become unbearable: he stores half his stuff in the corridors, lets his dog do his business,...

Can we get divorced in France? "We've been married for about ten years and have a 5-year-old daughter. My husband now wants a divorce, but I have no objections. We were married in Switzerland, but now live in France. So, for convenience's sake, we'd like to divorce in France. Is this possible? If so, our...

Power to bind a third party on one's own behalf "I do the accounts for a hairdressing salon owned by a friend of mine on a sole trader basis. Why pay for what I don't use?

19 March 2025
by Pascal Rytz
Why pay for what I don't use? In my PPE, there's talk of redoing the laundry room and replacing the washing machine and tumble dryer. I don't use this room at all, as I have a washing machine in my flat. In fact, I've given my laundry day to one of my...

Possible cases of tax evasion

19 March 2025
by Pascal Rytz
Possible case of tax evasion The director of the company that employs me uses the company's money for private purposes, for example for his weekend shopping or the cost of his personal car, even though he deducts a lump sum for transport on his tax return. He is also taking back the company's old IT equipment. In addition to...

Are there any limits to Air Horns?

19 March 2025
by Pascal Rytz
Firefighters: are there any limits to Air Horns?" For some months now, some fire engines have been using powerful horns, originally made for river navigation, in addition to their usual sirens. As this is a fairly recent development and their sounds are very powerful and aggressive, I'd like to know whether they have any...

Heat pumps: administrative sweat?

19 March 2025
by Pascal Rytz
Heat pump: administrative sweats? I've just bought a villa in the canton of Vaud that I want to renovate because it has old fossil-fuel heating. My heating engineer has advised me to install an air-to-water heat pump, but he hasn't asked me to sign a planning permission application. I'm assuming that as a...
